Satellite on the Activ8me thing for me has been like this;

Pros
Awesome fast download speeds (as someone previously said) when super charge is turned on, on a good sunny day I can get up to 500kb dl speeds (With AussieBroadband).

Likewise with uploads.

Cons
Both uploads + downloads counted, basically just being to the internet for a few hours without updating anything or surfin' teh webs burns through the monthly bandwidth.

Internet constantly cuts out momentarily.

Peak/offpeak system, Which means getting shaped during the day very easily.

Tryed to play CS 1.6 online and I was getting over 5 seconds of lag!!! no matter what.

Unfortunately its all i can get until telstra unfucks itself.  >:(

just coz they layd fibre down your street dosnt mean ur getting it, more than likely the only reason they put it down your street is because it was the shortest path between the nodes

Agree'd. For another example. My school has two campuses and there on each side of the town. They got fibre put it from one side to the other. Doesn't mean others get fibre.

The schools do have fiber internet

You can have it if you want but you need to pay the $20000 installation fee + contract
