Legitimate Games; buy or don't play.
« on: September 16, 2009, 01:47:46 PM »
Fairly simple; certain games require legit serials so they can be played. Buy the game, then you can play it to it's fullest extent.

Such games are:

--------------Steam Games-------------- (http://store.steampowered.com/about/)

(retail prices may vary)

Left 4 Dead - $34.65AUS

http://store.steampowered.com/app/500/

Left 4 Dead 2 - $34.50AUS (Low Violence)

http://store.steampowered.com/app/550/

Killing Floor - $23.10AUS

http://store.steampowered.com/app/1250/

Team Fortress 2 - $23.10AUS

http://store.steampowered.com/app/440/

Counter-Strike: Source - $23.10AUS

http://store.steampowered.com/app/240/

Dawn of War II - $69.40AUS

http://store.steampowered.com/app/15620/

--------------Sub-Steam games--------------

(Still available via Steam, although Steam is not required to play when using the retail versions)

Unreal Tournament 3 (Black Edition) - $23.10AUS

http://store.steampowered.com/app/13210/

Company of Heroes - $17.35AUS

http://store.steampowered.com/app/4560/

Company of Heroes: Opposing Fronts - $17.35AUS

http://store.steampowered.com/app/9340/

Company of Heroes: Tales of Valor - $34.70AUS

http://store.steampowered.com/app/20540/

Aliens vs Predator - $74.75AUS

http://store.steampowered.com/app/10680/

--------------Non-Steam games--------------

Sins of a Solar Empire - $34.65AUS (requires Impulse to update, not to play)

-----Sins of a Solar Empire: Entrenchment (Micro Expansion) - $11.50AUS

-----Sins of a Solar Empire: Diplomacy (Micro Expansion) - $11.50AUS

http://www.sinsofasolarempire.com/store.aspx - (http://www.impulsedriven.com/about)

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare - $57.70AUS

http://store.steampowered.com/app/7940/

--------------Other places of purchase--------------

None that I know of at the moment, suggestions are welcome.

Will add more games when they come to mind/are suggested.

--------------F.A.Q--------------

Do I have to download these games or can I get them from my local shop?

All of these games are Digital Downloads, but all are available retail (except Killing Floor, but it will be within the next couple months, recently released in North America. Also games labeled 'yet to be released' are usually not available unless it's via pre-order, in which case it will be mentioned).

How do I pay for them?

Credit card usually, although Mastercard/Visa etc are accepted. If you do not have access to such forms of payment, either Avarice, Slayer or myself will be able to buy the games for you and "gift" them to you (IF they're available on Steam or through another site).

I don't have the net capable of downloading the game files, so how do I get the files?

That's fine, not everyone does. Us of which who own these games, will provide you with the most up-to-date game files at every LAN, possibly beforehand if requested.

--------------

Price conversions were done at 87cUSD to $1AUS (16/09/09) - New releases were updated at 87cUSD to $1AUS on 18/06/10.

That could work, or the Australian Government can stop sucking on Michael Aktinson's cock.
