I almost always have the latest versions (since I'm almost 100% legit these days), but we don't get installers afaik when we dl the newer versions, and copying over the entire game folder will take ages - assuming it even works, since last time I tried it didn't.

Making a Steam backup of the game, then distributing that may work. But making backups of every multiplayer game I've got will take a while.. and then there's the typical problem of ALMOST NO BODY EVEN HAVING THE GAMES LEGIT.. so there goes that idea.

And yes coping the games does work (still needs to download a small amount of data some times usually about 50mb)

I have always had most needed files on the servers (if people ever ask for them)

No such thing as a cracked steam account. There's such thing as a cracked steam client. ie. SteamUp! etc. Or cracked accounts like phished accounts/stolen accounts.
