This is starting to look like one big bitch thread about people not buying games

So is there any useful suggestions or are you just going to keep complaining about people not buying games

"How can the LAN be made better?" If more people bought games so we didn't have issues with cracks/incorrect versions etc. Seems fairly on topic to me.

Mm.
I dunno the exact version.
My current version according to the game offline is 2.6 something.
When it tries to apply the latest patch it says "your game is patched to 2.0.0.0, our current version is 2.6 something, you suck"
Ill have to reinstall and download everything again I think.

I think I've got all the patches laying around somewhere if you want them, game's completely up to date so it should be all of them.
EDIT: We're up to 2.601 atm.

Out of interest. What's wrong with DC? Want to go back to scratching through each others Windows file shares looking for the right stuff?

There's nothing overly "wrong" with it, I just don't see the point of having to use a third party program for something that currently works just fine in my experiences, and I really cbf with hours of hashing either, but that's kinda a minor thing. And you don't have to "scratch around through other people's shares looking for the right stuff" if they knew how to share stuff properly and had some decent organizational skills.

DC
- Searchable
- Newer DC allows you to find the same files on multiple systems (one person goes home the fun continues)
- Built in chat

Windows
- No search
- No getting from multiple PCs

Just to add to stubbers post
Windows
- Password occasionally required.
- Requires way more effort, manual sorting, picking what folders to share etc.

DC
- Pick what to share easily.
- Find what you want, easily.
- Search multiple computers much easier.
I don't stop.
I won't stop.
I will never stop until I hear the crack.

I saw no reason for staying the second night. Half the bloody LAN was gone by then and no one was bothering with games, wouldn't exactly have been able to get any decent games going with the what, half a dozen left?

So yeah, no more two night LANs until the typical number on attendees is 40+ imo, or if no one was 18 and over magically anymore so people didn't leave for obvious reasons.

Also can we finally fuck off DC++?

And since you cheap fuckers don't want to buy games, at least keep the cracked ones you've currently got UP TO DATE (at least Jason tries and will be for next LAN, good work dude), I mean ffs, I might as well stay at home at least I'd be able to find more people to play certain, non-cracked games with /rant.

yeah dc++ is getting a bit anoying, but i dont mind using it i dont know why pple QQ about it
